Good News Mission of IndiaHelping Poor & Needy
From the beginning, GNMI is determined and focused on helping the poor and needy people of the rural areas in every possible way. This help can be made financially or maybe in other ways. We arrange some income generation training for them and also try to distribute food or essential commodities in times of disaster. We arrange blankets, food, and medicine for the poor families and homeless people; distribute them from time to time among them.
Provides Education
Education is an important matter which helps us to grow and gain knowledge; we provide educational training to the residents. Education is gaining more and more important in today’s competitive scenario regarding not only in an academic way but also in other extracurricular activities. The society has distributed various educational kits and exercise books to poor kids within the area to encourage the community for the Promotion of educational standards of the schools and infrastructure development for generation of employment to the area and the district as well as the state.
Distribution of Essential Commodities
Besides the other activities, GNMI NGO also takes an initiative to help the poor and homeless people by distributing clothes and food. In winter, we distribute blankets and woolen clothes to the poor and homeless people. Some housemaids also get help from us. We all need woolen clothes to fight against the cold weather. Despite standing idly, we provide blankets and other help with every possibility to the needy people. We often visit the rural areas of Kolkata and distribute study materials, and food among the children of colonies; these clothes are often collected with the help of our supporters and donors.
Health Check Up
GNMI NGO has arranged some medical camps to distribute important medicines to the poor and needy. Health is wealth, due to a lack of health knowledge, people suffer from various health issues such as hygiene problems, infections, etc. Good News Mission of India organizes a Health awareness program, and eye check-up camp to aware poor people about their health. With the help of local doctors and medicine distributors, we have arranged medical camps for thalassemia & cerebral palsy patients. in the local areas of Kolkata to provide important medicines to the poor, needy people. We have assisted lots of poor patients with medicines and they got temporary relief from their diseases.
Disaster Management
Natural calamities such as earthquakes, floods, and man-made disasters happen accidentally and we send relief to the victims. Natural disaster comes all of a sudden and destroys regular lives. To grant relief and assistance to the needy victims during natural calamities and to give donations and other assistance to re-establishment, re-building, and managing the devastation. GNMI always tries to assist as much as victims of natural disasters to provide them a regular & normal life.
